LOCAL TO MANCHESTER

Vegan Manchester
Funky and dynamic social group for vegans, their friends, and the vegan-curious. Meets on different dates at different times, trying everything that the city centre and Greater Manchester has to offer vegans – as well as doing stuff just for the hell of it. Communication is mostly via a Meet Up group and a Facebook group. 

Facebook group to help Vegetarians and Vegans to meet like minded single people. Let's see if we can find happiness with each other.

Manchester Animal Action (MAA)
Manchester Animal Action campaigns locally against all forms of animal abuse. These activities can range from promoting veganism to holding demonstrations against animal circuses, to travelling to national events. Vegan Outdoors 
Locally-based walking and outdoor pursuits organising events across the UK. Open to vegans and non-vegans to arrange and take part in walks, bike rides and more. Join in and be vegan for the day! For details of up-coming events, email info@veganoutdoors.com or see the Facebook group.

Cake Liberation Front
Baking group for those interested in cooking without animal ingredients. Bi-monthly afternoon social meet-ups to share home-baked goods at V-Revolution, 88 Oldham Street, Manchester, M4 1LF – see www.cakeliberationfront.com for dates; also see www.facebook.com/cakeliberationfront.

A monthly vegan potluck event kindly hosted at V Revolution on Oldham Street (see Eating Out in Manchester). Every attendee should bring at least one dish – this can be a starter, main course, or dessert. You can bring more than one along if you like! Your food should contain no dairy, no eggs, no honey, no meat, etc. You don't have to be vegan to attend - but make sure that your food is!

Manchester University Union Vegetarian and Vegan Society
Exists so that veggies and vegans studying in Manchester can meet each other, share recipes, ideas and enjoy great food together. They have socials, promote veggie and vegan interests on campus and run veggie and vegan mentor schemes for those interested in becoming veggie or vegan. Manchester Vegan Society (MVS)
Meets socially at 1.30pm on the last Saturday of each month at Café Mod, The Thirsty Scholar pub, 50 New Wakefield Street (off Oxford Rd), M1 5NP. Other social events take place throughout the year. Raw Vegan Group - Manchester
A group for healthy food advocates to come together. Meet-ups involve eating tasty raw vegan food, making new friends, sharing recipes, offering and gaining support and learning more about health in different ways. There will be also be food demonstrations, talks and documentaries included at different meet-up. Any voluntary donations will go towards a bigger venues for special events and other things to help the group grow.
