Description
Lovely eatery located underneath the railway arches on Oxford
Road, quite close to the Eighth Day cafe/wholefood shop and almost
opposite the BBC. Run by Martin the Mod, who formerly ran Cafe Mod
Pop, on Oldham Street.
The pub is a standard one, meaning that you're not
necessarily going to get veggie/vegan alcohol, but the kitchen is
veggie only.
Food falls into the delicious pub-grub/ciabatta comfort food
category, and is very reasonably priced. More snacks than full
meals, although substantial all the same. Quite a small pub,
however, so not ideal for very large groups. Children are welcome
up until 6pm (this is a pub, after all).
Both veggie and vegan food available.
Disabled access is not great due to sloping road leading down to
the pub, and split level interior (although only one/two
steps).
