Withington is a popular student area and this reflects the style and approach of Fuel. It's a light and airy place, with contemporary art on the walls, and is generally full of younger people. Evenings often see music and poetry performances in the bar's upstairs room.
Vegetarians are well catered for with analogues of typical cafe snacks and foods, but vegans fare less well. There's a handful of vegan options (including an all-day breakfast), along with soya milk for hot drinks, but very little that's inspiring.
